Technology Spotlight Presentation: Sarens Lift&Shift Technologies Useable for Handling & Assembling FPSO Modules

Synopsis of Presentation:

In a 10 minutes time frame we show the visitor a few highlights on new developments of extreme heavy lifting and SPMT works used on offshore module yards.

  • It shows in 3D animations and movies active views on references of :

  • Ring design cranes over the 3000T capacity and the future development expectation in this industry to support FPSO assembly works

  • Gantry or tower lifting systems executing module lifts or assemblies of FPSO and other type of modules weighing over 15,000T each

  • Single jack devices with capacities of 5000T per unit useable in FPSO offshore modules

  • Strand jack applications to skid offshore jackets or pull FPSO heavy modules in final position

  • Major barging activities for  offshore applications

  • Self-Propelled Modular trailer (SPMT) works transporting modules from 1000T to 12,000T used for FPSO module yard assembly works

  • Lift cranes in FPSO works and the exciting CC8800-1 Boom Booster Sarens /Terex recent co-development.

We design and build helicopter refueling systems (HRS) for installations on board Naval Vessels,FPSOs and offshore platforms. We offer standard CAP 437 designs as well as Bespoke/custom-made HRS. 

For the FPSO Congress we wish to share with FPSO owners, designers and users the importance of compliance to the latest, 7th edition of CAP437, the EI 1581/1583 requirement, noise and vibration limits in HRS designs.

Technology Spotlight Presentation: Make Helicopter Commuting Safe. It is the leading killer in Oil and Gas Accidents

Synopsis of Presentation:

Ir. Esham is the President and Chief Engineer at Protankgrüp, a company specializing in Aviation Fueling System.

The oil and gas industry is heavily dependent on helicopters to transport workers to their place of work offshore. Ir Esham will share some statistics to create awareness that death by helicopter is the leading killer in oil and gas accidents.  A percentage of the fatal accidents is fuel related.  Ir Esham will give an update on the changes to standards and regulations by Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) and Energy Institute (EI) to make our commuting  by helicopters to and from FPSO’s safer.
